Explore ancient mountain ranges, gorges and rivers as you travel the heart of the Kimberley. Highlights include; Windjana & Manning Gorges, El Questro, Bungle Bungles & Geikie Gorge.


Gibb River Road Kimberley Tour DAY 1:
Broome - Windjana Gorge

Depart Broome at 07:00am and head to the Derby Prison Tree for a short visit. We leave the bitumen behind us as we enter the Gibb River Road, almost instantly we can feel the remoteness. A walk up Windjana Gorge this afternoon is sure to impress. Camping overnight Windjana National Park. (L/D).

Gibb River Road Kimberley Tour DAY 2:
Windjana - Bell

This morning we're off to Tunnel Creek have your bathers and torches ready!! This amazing tunnel cuts through the Napier Range and is rich in history as your Tour guide will explain. Afternoon sees us off to Bells Gorge. Camping overnight Bells Gorge. (B/L/D)


Gibb River Road Kimberley Tour DAY 3:
Bell - Manning gorge

Leaving Bells Gorge this morning, we travel through the beautiful scenery of the Kimberley's highest mountain range, King Leopold Ranges, on our way to Galvan's Gorge. This gorge will tempt you to don the bathers. For those feeling like a walk, a visit to Manning Gorge this afternoon is recommended. Camping overnight Mt Barnett Station. (B/L/D).gibb river road

Manning - El Questro

Our journey today takes us through the majestic Cockburn Ranges, have your cameras ready for the spectacular scenery and panoramic views of the Cockburn Ranges, Cambridge Gulf and the twin rivers of the Durack and Pentecost. Camping overnight El Questro. (B/L/D)

Gibb River Road Kimberley Tour DAY 5:
El Questro - Kununurra
The morning sees us soaking in the thermal pools of Zebedee Springs with an option to hike some of the spectacular gorges of El Questro, before we head to the Kimberley town of Kununurra. Overnight camp Kununurra. (B/L)

Gibb River Road Kimberley Tour DAY 6:
Kununurra – Bungle Bungles

Depart Kununurra and drive via the scenic RAGGED RANGE onto Turkey Creek, where we have a short stop. We head to the Bungle Bungles turn off and 53 kms drive on a very scenic, but winding dirt road via the magnificent OSMAND RANGE. We arrive in time for lunch at the Northern Gorges. Afternoon walk in ECHIDNA CHASM, and MINI PALMS (time permitting), before arriving at our overnight camp on sunset. (B/L/D)

Bungle Bungles - Kununurra
Bungle Bungle's
This morning we head to the southern end for a walk through the Bee Hive area of Piccaninny Creek and Cathedral Gorge. An optional helicopter flight available today gives us the advantage to view these magnificent formations close up from the air before returning to Kununurra. (B/L/D)

A free day to enjoy the many attractions of Kununurra. Some suggestions for your free day - visit the plantations in the area, take a boat cruise along the Ord River, or on Lake Argyle, book a fishing trip on the lower Ord River, or take a flight to Argyle Diamond Mine. These are only some of the optional tours available to you. Camping overnight Kununurra. (B).

Kununurra - Fitzroy Crossing

Today we head south with a short stop at Turkey Creek. This afternoon we visit the Kimberley town of Halls Creek on our way to our overnight camp.Overnight Fitzroy River Lodge. (B/L/D)

Gibb River Road Kimberley Tour DAY 10:

Pack up camp for the last time and travel to Geike Gorge for a morning visit. You will have an opportunity here for a boat cruise on the Fitzroy River and Geike Gorge. We then make our way to Cable Beach Broome, where your Kimberley experience officially ends. (B/L)
